Christmas has come early today for two lucky winners with our double draw

This week’s Made in Bury Business Draw was extra special as we surprised not one but two lucky winners. Every Wednesday, we deliver a £2,000 cheque to one of our lucky ticket holders but as Christmas day falls on a Wednesday this year, we had ourselves a double draw.

We had a lovely visit this morning from John Fidler at The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity. John pressed the button to reveal our two lucky winners so they both have John to thank for their winnings today.

Our first lucky winner was Joanne Hall. Unfortunately, we were unable to deliver the cheque today but Joanne was over the moon and collected her £2,000 cheque on Friday. Joanne has worked at Boxlogix since 2007 and is a customer operations manager also dealing with sales and logistics. Boxlogix supplies vending machines to schools. Joanne is going to save the money and look into a family holiday next year.

Our second lucky winner was Robert Mooney from Microcare. We recruited the help of Robert’s colleague Greg, who kindly met us at reception and snuck us up the stairs to their office. We walked into the office and surprised Robert with the cheque who was absolutely made up to have won the draw. As Robert is our second winner of the day, this technically means he is our Christmas Day winner so congratulations.

Robert is the Head of Network Services at Microcare and he is mainly responsible for ordering, provisioning, and installation.

Robert plans to spend the money on top quality spirits to add to his Christmas collection. Robert will also use some of the money to buy a nice present for his Boss’s wedding next year.

Microcare formed in 1988 and they design, install and maintain office telecoms providing a hassle-free yet effective service for their customers.

The next business draw will be on Wednesday 8th January 2020 and again will be a double draw to make up for the draw which falls on New Year’s Day. See you all in the New Year.
