We’re absolutely delighted to kick off 2026 by announcing the first Weekly £2000 Draw winner of the year and what a brilliant way to start!

A huge congratulations to Mariemma Jackson, who won today’s draw with ticket number 24107.

Mariemma joined the Weekly £2000 Draw back in April 2024, after a friend (who had already won!) told her all about it while they were out for lunch. Proof, once again, that word of mouth really does work and that winners really do come from recommendations.

Mariemma has worked at Browfield Residential Home on Walmersley Road for the past 2.5 years, where she is a support worker, helping residents maintain a normal, independent lifestyle within a warm, family-style environment. It’s always lovely to see hardworking local people winning… especially those who give so much back to others every day.

When asked what she plans to spend the £2000 on, Mariemma didn’t hesitate for a second. A holiday is firmly on the cards! A well-deserved treat to start the year on a high.

Even more exciting, this is now the second winner from Browfield Residential Home, with a previous win back in February 2024, when registered manager, Lisa Driver, took home the £2000 prize which gave some extra spending money for her trip to Amsterdam. There must be something lucky in the air at Browfield Residental Home – two winners and two holidays!
