We’re thrilled to announce that this week’s Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw winner is Lisa Kennedy, with ticket number 24213!

Lisa has been part of our draw for 12 months and had even been considering buying a second ticket recently to boost her chances – talk about great timing! When we gave her the winning call, she had just come off a night shift and almost didn’t answer… but we’re so glad she did. Her surprise quickly turned into joy, and she told us “Your call made my day!”.

Lisa is a Healthcare Support Worker for the NHS, part of the fantastic team at Pennine Care at Fairfield Hospital, where she’s worked for an incredible 17 years. She provides vital mental health support to people aged 18–65, and we’re so pleased to see her get this well-deserved boost.

Lately, Lisa has had her eye on a Mediterranean cruise, with search suggestions following her everywhere thanks to those clever social media algorithms. This morning, she even got a “Continue looking?” prompt – but now, she doesn’t need to look any further. She’s putting the winnings towards the deposit for a dream cruise to Spain and France for herself and her 11-year-old son, Thomas. From night shifts to cruise ships – what a turnaround!
