Made In Bury

In our 1st Anniversary draw, we delighted not one – but 16 people!

Today is a very special day…it’s the one year anniversary of the Made in Bury £2,000 Weekly Draw! This means that over the past 52 weeks we’ve given away £104,000 – all to help support start-up businesses with the Made in Bury Business Academy, as well as providing interest-free loans to help new businesses grow.

Congratulations to this week’s winner of the draw, Gemma Worrall from Datum Group!

Datum is one of the largest structural monitoring specialists in Europe and provide services to the railway industry. Launched in 1999, Datum offer an outstanding service to all of their clients and every system they produce is bespoke from the concept through to the delivery.

This week, we went over to the office at Heap Bridge in Bury and surprised Gemma, only to find out that the ticket was a syndicate, meaning there were actually 16 winners! Thanks to Claire who helped us plan the surprise, Gemma and the other winners had no idea we were coming!

With so many winners, it made our 1 year anniversary extra special knowing we’d made not one – but 16 people’s days!

The team are currently deciding what they should spend their winnings on and are thinking of perhaps a work night out!

The Made in Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw is a not for profit initiative that raises money to pay for the training and mentoring of start-up businesses in Bury.
