This week’s Weekly £2000 Draw winner is Water Engineering Services, with winning ticket number 23793.
The business has been an accredited supporter of the draw since October 2023, holding 10 tickets and helping contribute towards initiatives that support local start-up businesses.
When it came time to deliver the good news, the plan was to surprise Managing Director, Dan Bolton, in person. Unfortunately, the timing wasn’t quite right. Dan was already on his way to the Newcastle United vs Manchester United that evening.
Luckily, his team were more than happy to step in and accept the £2000 cheque on his behalf, celebrating the win back at the workplace while Dan travelled to the match.
When we caught up with Dan during his journey, we asked why Water Engineering Services supports the Weekly £2000 Draw.
Dan explained that supporting the draw is important to him because it helps local businesses and start-ups, something he understands first-hand.
Like many successful companies, Water Engineering Services started small. Today, the business has grown significantly and now employs almost 100 members of staff, creating jobs and opportunities in their hometown.
Their continued support reflects a strong commitment to giving back to the local business community and helping the next generation of entrepreneurs get started.
The company is also well known for supporting charitable causes locally, particularly Bury Hospice. Water Engineering Services are regular supporters of the charity and will be attending the Bury Hospice Ball this Saturday evening.
As for what they’ll do with the £2000 winnings? Dan had the perfect answer.
The prize will be used to put free drinks behind the bar for the team, a great way to celebrate both the win and the hardworking staff who help make the company such a success.
Congratulations to Water Engineering Services and the entire team on this week’s win.
