Made In Bury

Local School’s Medical Support Officer Becomes Double Winner

We are delighted to announce that this week’s Made in Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw winner is Gwyneth Roberts with ticket number 23496 – and incredibly, this is her second time winning!

Today we had the pleasure of surprising Gwyneth once again at Bury Church of England High School, where she has worked for over 30 years. Gwyneth is the school’s Medical Support Officer, a role she has proudly held for more than six years after previously supporting children in lessons and working across various positions during her long career at the school.

Bury Church of England High School is part of the Bishop Fraser Trust family of schools. With its strong Christian values and guiding motto “Let your light shine”, the school provides a safe and caring community where every individual can flourish. With a broad and balanced curriculum, a focus on character development, and strong academic success, the school equips its students with the skills and values they need to succeed in life.

When we revealed the news, Gwyneth was absolutely shocked to learn she had become a double winner. Last time, she sensibly put her prize money towards paying off her mortgage, helping her get closer to becoming mortgage-free. This time, however, she plans to spend her winnings on herself, with thoughts of a holiday or investing in her allotment. A very well-deserved treat!

We would like to congratulate Gwyneth once again and thank the wonderful staff at Bury Church of England High School for helping us keep today’s surprise a secret.
