A self-employed plumber from Radcliffe is celebrating after winning this week’s Made in Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw.

James Turk, owner of JRT Plumbing, was today’s lucky winner with ticket number 24258.

James’ winning ticket came through one of our accredited supporters, Under Pressure Cleaning, Valeting & Maintenance Ltd. The business is owned by Aaron Hughes, a former Made in Bury Business Academy member, who encouraged family and friends to buy tickets back in June 2024. This week, that support paid off for his cousin.

When we called James to share the news, he was over the moon.

The self-employed commercial plumber said the £2,000 prize will be going towards a summer holiday to Rhodes with his wife, Rebecca.

Laughing, James admitted he’d recently been wondering whether his ticket was still in the draw after being entered for around two years without a win.

Thankfully, today’s phone call answered that question.

His patience paid off, proving that every week’s draw brings another chance to win.
