This week’s lucky winner of the Made In Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw is Amanda Galvin, with ticket number 23728.

Amanda works for Bury Council and has been part of the draw since September 2023. She has worked at the council for an impressive 10 years, starting in Children’s Services before moving to Adult Social Care, where she now works in the Reviewing Team.

When we surprised Amanda with the news, she was completely lost for words! At first, she said she was going to cry, but once it sank in, she was absolutely delighted, saying the win “couldn’t have come at a better time.”

Amanda said, “I’m so chuffed I’ve won this week’s draw. I’ve had a lot going on lately, so the win really means a lot to me. I will definitely be having a celebratory drink or two this weekend!”.

Amanda plans to use her winnings wisely, first to pay off some credit card debt, then to give her utility area a well-deserved makeover. The rest will go towards making Christmas extra special for her husband and two daughters.
