We love surprising our ticket holders, and today was extra special!
We would have loved to have visited Sunny Bank Primary School, part of the Vision Multi Academy Trust, to deliver some fantastic news today, but with it being Half Term, we knew Teaching Assistant, Amanda Stubbs, would be at home having some well-deserved rest during the school holidays. So, we gave Amanda a call to let her know that she’s this week’s lucky winner of our £2,000 Weekly Draw!
Vision Multi Academy Trust are official supporters of the Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw, having multiple schools, including Sunny Bank Primary, holding multiple tickets to the draw.
Amanda has dedicated 15 years to Sunny Bank Primary School, nurturing and supporting local children. Her reason for joining the Weekly £2000 Draw is truly heart-warming. Following a visit from our team to the school, Amanda was inspired to support local start-up businesses. “I joined the draw because it’s nice to help others,” Amanda explained, “and the idea of winning was amazing!”
Little did she know just how amazing it would be! Amanda’s win comes after a difficult time for her family. Sadly, she lost her Mum to Dementia in January. Reflecting on her win, Amanda felt it could be a sign from her Mum, a little bit of sunshine during a tough period.
Adding to the excitement, Amanda is approaching a milestone birthday! She turns 60 in May and has a special trip planned to Abersoch, Wales, with her husband and family to celebrate. Now, thanks to her win, the celebrations are set to be even more memorable. “I will use some of my winnings to make my 60th birthday trip away extra special,” she shared.
But the celebrations don’t stop there! Amanda also has dreams of a holiday in Croatia. “I wanted to have a holiday in Croatia,” she said, “so hopefully my winnings will be making that dream a little more of a reality”.
We are absolutely delighted for Amanda and her family. Her story is a testament to the community spirit that Made in Bury embodies, and we’re so grateful for the support of the schools and Vision Multi Academy Trust in helping us make these moments happen simply by being ticket holders.
