Made In Bury

Sweet Win For Abbie

The lucky winner of the Made in Bury £2000 weekly draw this week was Abbie Porter from Slattery Patissier and Chocolatiers in Whitefield.

Abbie was busy in the onsite kitchen decorating a delicious looking chocolate cake when we surprised her with the help of owner John. Abbie was delighted and told us that as she is due to move house at the end of the month she will be spending her winnings on some lovely things for her new home.

Abbie has been working at Slattery’s for around four years, after completing a patisserie course at college. Her role is a decorator so she puts all the finishing touches to the cakes, biscuits and other goodies.

Slattery’s are a huge supporter of the draw and must be a very lucky place to work as Abbie is our third winner from there!

The Award winning, third generation family run business was founded in 1967.

They create handmade luxury chocolates, fresh cakes, and homemade bread onsite, as well as bespoke celebration and wedding cakes. There is a retail shop onsite too as well as The Masons dining room which serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and sweet treats and the Slattery school of excellence where you can learn the arts of sugar craft, chocolate and more.

There are only 2,400 tickets available for the draw, meaning your chances of winning are always going to stay good. All the funds raised from the draw go towards helping start-up businesses in Bury through mentoring programs such as the Made in Bury Business Academy. The draw is open to anyone who owns or works for a business in Bury, including friends and family. For just £2 a week, you can be in with the chance of winning £2,000 every Wednesday! Simply visit www.madeinbury.co.uk or email hello@madeinbury.co.uk.

Congratulations once again to Abbie. You can watch the moment we surprised her here.
