This week’s winner in the Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw is Gillian Marsden with lucky ticket number 20644. Gillian got her ticket via her place of work DTE Business Advisors who have offices in Bury and Manchester. Congratulations.
It was a glorious day in Bury so we took full advantage to go to DTE based in The Exchange on Bank Street in Bury Town Centre to surprise Gillian. A big thank you to Emily, an Audit Manager for DTE, who I contacted in organising the surprise and for keeping it a secret.
Emily lead us into the office and straight over to Gillian’s desk where she was hard at work. Leanne said Gillian’s name, who sheepishly replied yes, and as Leanne turned the giant cheque around and said she was this week’s winner in the Weekly Draw she shouted “GET IN!” She couldn’t believe it and was so excited that she’d won. Gillian has no idea what she is going to spend the winnings on and said it should be something sensible, but we think she should treat yourself, but she definitely won’t be cooking tonight and a takeaway tea is for certain. The rest of the office said that she can buy them all cakes. Gillian did say “If you’re not in the draw, then you should be!”
Gillian is now the 5th winner that DTE have in the draw, she has worked for DTE for a long time, starting out as a Junior, before moving onto a Manager role and is now the Financial Controller for internal accounts. DTE Business Advisers are a partner-led firm of chartered accountants, tax and business advisers. They we are the largest independent advisory firm in Bury and one of the largest independent firms across Manchester and the North West. They pride themselves on being the perfect-fit partner for SMEs, particularly owner-managed businesses, with industry-leading expertise and a personalised approach when working with clients.
It was wonderful to have the help of Peter Andre who wanted to help present Gillian with the Giant cheque for £2000.
A big thank to DTE who are Official Supporters in the Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw, they are great advocates of the draw since the beginning and offer payroll deduction as an option of payment for colleagues who want to get in.
