The irony for The Tiny Iron getting Big news!

Today’s lucky winner of the Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw is Julie Kendall who bought her ticket via her local business, The Tiny Iron.

Julie, with lucky number 22090 has been in the draw for just 7 months.

So, there was a first at the Made in Bury office today…we had a Wednesday Winner and had no contact details. The detective hats were on! After much searching and looking through all our available records, we finally realised that Julie Taylor had got married only 5 days before and changed her name to Julie Kendall. We found our winner!

Debi called Julie and even after she was told who was on the phone, she still had no idea that she had won the Weekly £2000 Draw. After being told she let off some steam with a little scream! What a year Julie has had, after postponing her wedding it was 4th time lucky on 2nd July.

After sadly being made redundant a year ago like many due to Covid, Julie set up The Tiny Iron having over 25 years’ experience within the laundry industry. In September of last year Julie has now added domestic cleaning to her catalogue. The laundry service is based in Prestwich with local collection and delivery available.

Julie told us the £2,000 winnings will be going towards a little honeymoon away to her Mums’ favourite place, Whitby, as she sadly passed away in January before the Wedding. Something that would not have happened anytime soon and could not have come at a better time, so it will be lovely to be able to go in her Mums honour.
