This week’s Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw winner is the lovely Kathryn McDonnell from MHM Products, proudly holding ticket 23761… and this one has a special story behind it!

Kathryn is no stranger to Made in Bury. She was part of our Business Academy Class of 2023 with her brilliant invention Finge (if you haven’t checked it out yet, you must! finge.co.uk). Finge is a wearable device that covers the fingertip to allow you to use touchscreens, self-checkouts, tills, cash machines, payment keypads etc whilst avoiding direct contact with surfaces.

When Phil called her, Kathryn thought it was just a friendly catch-up. They chatted for a few minutes before Phil hinted,

“Do you think there may be another reason for me calling you on a Wednesday?”

Her response?

“No, not the draw… I never win anything!!!”

Well, today she absolutely did!

With a holiday to Tenerife coming up in December, Kathryn now has some lovely extra spending money. But the heart-warming part? She’s kindly sharing the winnings with her two sisters, who are also partners in the business. Each of them will receive a third as a surprise… meaning this week’s draw is making the day for three people, not just one.
