Huge congratulations to Sarah Shimmons, who is the owner of lucky ticket number 20656, who has just bagged this week’s £2000 prize!

Sarah works at Munro Greenhalgh, a family-run insurance brokerage based in Ramsbottom, where she wears many hats as the Commercial Account Handler and Accounts Manager. Her journey with the company began in 1986, when she joined as an Office Junior, and nearly four decades later, she’s a vital part of the team, even helping to support their commercial department and residential landlord clients.

Sarah has been supporting the Weekly £2000 Draw since May 2018, and today her long-standing support has well and truly paid off!

We had hoped to surprise Sarah in person at her workplace today, but in a twist of fate, she had the day off. When we gave her a call, she was out enjoying a walk and it’s safe to say we made her stroll even more enjoyable!

As for what she’s going to spend the money on? At first, she mentioned a holiday or a trip… then she remembered it’s her husband’s 60th birthday next year, but after a moment’s thought, she laughed and said, “Actually, no – I’m going to spend it on me!”. And we couldn’t agree more… go on, Sarah, you deserve it!
