This week’s £2,000 winner is Kenyon Stansfield with ticket number 24698.
Kenyon has spent the last seven years living and working in Vietnam, where he manages a language centre teaching English. Later this year, he’ll be returning home to the UK with his wife, Nhi, and their five-year-old daughter, May, so this week’s prize couldn’t have come at a better time. It will certainly help with the cost of the big move.
The winning ticket wasn’t even bought by Kenyon. It was a gift from his mum, Fiona Jackson, who won the Weekly £2,000 Draw herself back in May 2021 while working at AFG LAW. After her own win, Fiona bought tickets for both of her sons, proving that a draw ticket really can make a thoughtful gift for someone you care about.
We called Fiona first with the news before speaking to Kenyon in Vietnam, who was absolutely over the moon. Fiona also shared that, while driving to work this morning, she had a strong feeling that one of her boys would win the draw today. Safe to say, her instincts were spot on!
Kenyon told us he was back home at Christmas and, surprisingly, admitted he’d actually missed the cold weather. We imagine Fiona is even more excited knowing the whole family will soon be back home.
And Fiona’s generosity doesn’t stop there. She’s already bought another ticket today, this time in granddaughter May’s name. If it wins, Fiona plans to put the prize into a trust for her until she’s older.
A wonderful mum, an amazing grandma, and a lovely reminder that a Weekly £2,000 Draw ticket isn’t just an entry into the draw. It can be a meaningful gift that could one day make a huge difference to someone you love.
