There’s something quite special about this week’s winner… someone who’s been with us right from the very beginning.

Richard Delafield, from Bury Council, is this week’s Weekly £2000 Draw winner with ticket number 20226.

Richard works within the Corporate Collection & Support department, playing a key role behind the scenes in keeping things running smoothly across the borough. He’s been part of the draw since day one, which makes this win feel even more well deserved.

Having worked for the council for around 10 years, Richard is clearly someone committed to his community, so it’s brilliant to see that same community give something back.

It’s also worth celebrating the wider team at Bury Council, who have a large number of employees taking part in the Weekly £2000 Draw. Their continued support means they are recognised as an Accredited Supporter, playing a huge role in helping us fund local start-ups, business growth and community initiatives across the borough.

When we told Richard the news, we found out he’s got a trip planned in May… a getaway to a Manor House with friends. Safe to say, this £2000 will be helping turn that break into something even more memorable.
